Repair form and sending procedure

If you are sending in a Laptop for repair, you must complete the repair form which is found

If you are sending in a PDA for repair, you must complete the repair form which is found

Please DO NOT send any chargers, cradles or cables with your PDA unless we say otherwise.

If you have a WS number from us, please fill out the WS number box on the repair form. If you do not have a WS number please ignore the WS number box.

The repair form is required to be filled out completely and included in the box with your laptop / pda or service may take longer to begin.

When you have completed the form click the "print" button on the bottom of the form.

Print 2 copies, one for yourself and put one copy in the box with your laptop / PDA.

Send your laptop / PDA to our workshop. Our address is printed at the end of the repair form.

We will contact you as soon as we have inspected your laptop / PDA.

Sending procedure

1. Please contact us before sending in your laptop / PDA. We may be able to collect. (Within a certain radius).
2. You will need to print out the repair form and complete.
3. Make sure you pack your laptop / pda in a suitable, rigid box with at least 5" of padding around the unit. Use appropriate packaging i.e. bubble wrap and packing popcorn.
4. You will need to send your AC adapter and power lead plus any setup or manufacturer restore CD's that originally came with your laptop. If sending a PDA for repair, please do not send any cables or chargers unless we say otherwise. We have an abundance of them. Also include the laptop / pda battery and any external CD-ROMS.
5. Do not place the AC adapter or power lead on top of your laptop. This may cause damage to your laptop screen. Instead try and pack the adapter and lead beside the laptop. (see picture below for guide)
6. Place the repair form you completed earlier inside the box, on top of the laptop.
7. When you are happy with your packing send your laptop / pda to us using your preferred courier. We recommend you insure your laptop / pda. Our workshop address is on the end of our repair form.

Please note Apex Laptops will not be held responsible for any laptops or PDA's that arrive damaged. Make sure your laptop or PDA is correctly packaged. We cannot stress this enough.
